Institutional Equity Division – Analyst/Associate, Strategic Investments (New York)
About the role
Our New York office is looking for an Analyst / Associate candidate to join the Strategic Investments team. Strategic Investments makes and manages investments on behalf of Morgan Stanley across market infrastructure, trading and wealth management platforms, and innovative technology companies that are complementary to the Firm’s overall strategic agenda. Team members manage the full investment lifecycle from sourcing, selection, evaluation, due diligence, negotiation and closing to post-investment monitoring / strategic involvement and exit. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed valuation analyses and presentations to the Investment Committee.
- Research and monitor industry developments relevant to the Strategic Investments portfolio and Morgan Stanley’s businesses.
- Work closely with the team and colleagues across products and functions firmwide to identify and assess investment opportunities and manage the portfolio.
Qualifications
- 1‑2+ years working in investment banking, venture / growth equity, strategy consulting or strategic corporate finance with a proven track record.
