Associate - Growth Equity Investing / Mergers & Acquisitions - New York
Responsibilities
- Supporting in the negotiation, structuring, and evaluation of investment transactions.
- Conducting deep business diligence, including leading calls with investment target management teams and their outside advisors/consultants.
- Conducting industry research utilizing traditional finance softwares and Ducera network.
- Preparing investment committee materials, other LP/Partner materials, and other ongoing portfolio management materials.
- Executing complex financial analyses, including valuation models, detailed financial forecasts, investment structure alternatives, monetization alternatives, and others.
- Guiding and assisting portfolio company management teams in executing post-investment value creation.
- Producing analyses and models on leveraged buyouts, discounted cash flows, mergers and acquisitions accretion and dilution, and multiple valuation.
- Preparing memoranda for internal and external use.
- Aiding in the execution and coordination of complex transactions and time-sensitive processes, including due diligence and valuation analysis.
- Drafting client marketing and pitch materials.
- Maintaining active involvement and participation in client facing situations and negotiations.
- Providing mentorship and development to junior staff.
Qualifications
- Highly motivated and team-oriented with excellent leadership records.
- Strong background in financial modeling, finance, and accounting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Interest in pursuing a career in investing in innovative growth stage companies.
- Knowledge of and experience in mergers and acquisitions.
Additional Information
Expected annualized base salary range: $200,000 – $250,000
