Installer II
About the role
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Installer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and installing equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the organization.
- Define obstacles and aid in creating solutions concerning safety, identifying safety hazards, and suggesting corrective actions.
- Follow company safety practices and procedures to provide a safe work environment for all team members.
- Install a variety of attachments on industrial equipment using hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
- Lift and position assemblies using floor jacks, overhead electrical hoists, and forklift equipment.
- Install hydraulic kits and assemblies, and operate various industrial equipment.
- Work safely and ensure total quality of work; move material and equipment from storage to the shop area.
- Receive instructions, prints, and formal job procedures for tasks.
- Communicate directly with the Value Stream Leader and Supply Chain Leader.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; work efficiently alone or in a team setting.
- Read schematics.
- Perform all other duties as required to meet customer and company quality and productivity needs.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with backhoes, skid steers, dozers, or other construction equipment.
- 2-3 years of previous work experience preferred.
- Mechanical experience is beneficial.
