Installer II

About the role

Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Installer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and installing equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the organization.

• Define obstacles and aid in creating solutions concerning safety, identifying safety hazards, and suggesting corrective actions.
• Follow company safety practices and procedures to provide a safe work environment for all team members.
• Install a variety of attachments on industrial equipment using hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
• Lift and position assemblies using floor jacks, overhead electrical hoists, and forklift equipment.
• Install hydraulic kits and assemblies, and operate various industrial equipment.
• Work safely and ensure total quality of work; move material and equipment from storage to the shop area.
• Receive instructions, prints, and formal job procedures for tasks.
• Communicate directly with the Value Stream Leader and Supply Chain Leader.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; work efficiently alone or in a team setting.
• Read schematics.
• Perform all other duties as required to meet customer and company quality and productivity needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with backhoes, skid steers, dozers, or other construction equipment.
• 2-3 years of previous work experience preferred.
• Mechanical experience is beneficial.
