Installation Technician (Custom Cabinetry Journeyman)

About the Role

California Closets is seeking an Installation Tech to install custom-designed residential and commercial storage systems and accessories using a variety of luxury materials. This role requires experience with hand and power tools, precise measurements, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in homes or commercial buildings.
• Utilize company-provided CAD drawings/blueprints to install systems properly and efficiently.
• Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
• Assist in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order (tools are provided).
• Install systems independently or with team members, depending on job size.
• Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
• Maintain safety standards at all times.
• Drive to and from customer sites and operate company-provided vehicles safely.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with common hand and power tools.
• Trade or vocational school experience desirable.
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch.

Pay

$22–$25/hour.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with flexibility needed.

Location: 315 Enterprise Drive, Plainsboro, NJ.
