Sorting Robotics Inc. manufactures robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada. Preferred candidates are comfortable with cannabis (enjoyment and experience is a plus).
About the role
As an Installation Technician, you will install and configure our robotic systems at customer sites, ensuring proper functionality through testing and troubleshooting. You will provide training and technical support to customers, collaborate with engineering and support teams, and document installation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to install and configure robotic systems.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide training and technical support to customers on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical issues encountered during installations.
- Document installation procedures and create installation reports.
- Assist with the development of standard operating procedures for installation and maintenance activities.
- Travel up to 100% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion of installations.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in installation and maintenance of complex technical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and have proof of COVID-19 vaccination records.

Pay
$75,000–$95,000 per year plus 0.15% equity.
