Installation Technician

Duties And Responsibilities

• Build and install all types of equipment that RW sells and services.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Follow all Storage & Automation Department procedures.
• Communicate with assigned Supervisor.
• Complete all service documentation in a timely, accurate fashion.
• Have the necessary tools to perform the InstallComplete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle.
• Represent the company favorably in all situations.
• Pass all available certifications appropriate to the position.
• Maintain good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas.
• Report all accidents promptly, regardless of fault.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments
• Willingness to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required
• Must be able to pass or possess all available certificates appropriate to the position
• Possess sound working knowledge of basic D.C. electricity, basic A.C. electricity
• Possess sound welding skills with a primary focus on arc as well as torch skills

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 3 years breakdown experience or comparable service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
