Installation Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Installs heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company standards/requirements and manufacturer specifications.
• Designs, fabricates, and installs various ducts and duct fittings, as necessary.
• Performs limited diagnostics, as necessary.
• Effectively communicates with customers regarding questions, concerns, and problems.
• Trains apprentices.
• Install duct work transitions in sheet metal and ductboard.
• Install gas lines, flue pipes, and wiring high and low voltage wiring applications as well as run flue liners.
• Maintain safety and quality as a top priority by following safety policies and procedures, abiding by ALL One Hour standards of performance and code of ethics, maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates, and maintaining company vehicle cleanliness and organization.
• Respect the customer’s property.
• Participate in ALL company sponsored training classes.

Suggested/Known Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable installation work history.
• Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment.
• Knowledge of the layout and installation requirements of residential duct work and fittings.
• Skilled in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems on residential HVAC equipment.
• Solid communication and customer service skills. Must have appropriate trade tools.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Suggested/Educational/Certification Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• EPA Certification.
• NATE Certification.
• HVAC Certification or Diploma.
