Installation Technician

About the role

Join DIRECTV as an Installation Technician to support our customers in Grand Forks, ND. This role involves working independently to install and repair satellite equipment, educating customers on services, and promoting DIRECTV as a premier service provider.

Responsibilities

• Install and service customer satellite equipment
• Educate customers on the features and functionality of the services
• Verify all services are working and demonstrate, sell, and bill video service
• Work independently and engage with customers
• Drive a company vehicle and/or report directly to work location
• Work inside or outside in various conditions, including weather and building structures

Requirements

• A valid state driver's license, commercial license, or chauffeur’s license, depending on state and federal requirements
• Complete a satisfactory driving record check
• Willingness to work day, evening, or night tours; overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends, and holidays as required
• May require travel for out-of-area work which may include overnight travel
• May require drug testing as mandated by state and federal requirements
• May require a security check
• May require ability to drive vehicle with manual gear shift
• May require working outside in all kinds of weather
• May require working in an environment that is not heated or air conditioned
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must have Satisfactory results from the Premise Technician Assessment Technical

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds
• Must be able to perform work involving a lot of kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling or other uncomfortable positions

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of satellite equipment installation and service
• Understanding of DIRECTV services and features

Pay

The base wage range for this full-time position is $23.50 - $27.96 per hour + bonus (if applicable) + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Day, evening, or night tours; overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends, and holidays as required.

Additional Cash Award Details

• $2,000 of the bonus paid upon successful completion of training
• $1,000 after 6 months of continuous employment
• $2,000 after 12 months of continuous employment
