Installation Technician

About the role

This position introduces customers to a robust network while delivering best‑in‑class service. As an Installation Technician you will elevate the customer experience by providing seamless installation and activation of state‑of‑the‑art technology, helping customers stay connected to what matters most.

Typical day

• Work independently at customers’ homes and businesses as a trusted expert.
• Install the latest technology for high‑speed broadband, Wi‑Fi, and voice services.
• Put in new lines, climb ladders, plug in and activate Wi‑Fi networks.
• Meet new people daily, solve problems, and be rewarded for great work.
• Adapt to varied tasks—no two days are the same.

Requirements

• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 lb (some ladders weigh 50‑60 lb).
• Weight under 325 lb (required for ladder safety).
• Ability to work in small spaces or aloft up to 28 ft.
• Availability for overtime, emergency callouts, and holiday work.
• Identify wire and cable colors.
• Pass pre‑employment assessments.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $20.09 to $35.65. Average starting earnings are approximately $58,824 per year. Starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, overtime, emergency callouts, and holiday work.
