Pay

Installation Technicians earn between $25.39 and $32.21 hourly, with average starting earnings of $52,806 per year. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is currently available (not applicable to internal or rehire employees), paid out as follows:

$1,000 after 90 days of service (no COBC violations or written disciplinary actions)
$1,500 after 6 months of service (no COBC violations or written disciplinary actions)
$2,500 after 1 year of service (no COBC violations or written disciplinary actions)

Responsibilities

A typical day involves working independently at customers’ homes and businesses as a trusted expert, installing the latest technology for high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services. You’ll meet new people daily, solve problems, and be rewarded for great work. Tasks may include:

Installing new lines
Climbing ladders
Activating Wi-Fi networks
Identifying wire and cable colors

Requirements

Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Possess a valid state driver’s license
Lift and move up to 60 lbs (some ladders weigh 50–60 lbs)
Weigh less than 325 lbs (required for ladder safety)
Work in small spaces or aloft (up to 28 ft)
Be available for overtime, emergency callouts, and holiday work
Qualify on pre-employment assessments
High School Diploma or GED

Schedule

40 hours per week
Full-time, regular position
