Installation Technician

About the role
As an Installation Technician, you’ll work independently at customer homes and businesses as a trusted expert, installing the latest technology for high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services. You’ll meet new people daily, solve problems, and tackle varied tasks—from installing new lines to activating Wi-Fi networks—ensuring no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
- Install and activate high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services in customer homes and businesses.
- Work independently as a trusted expert in the field.
- Perform tasks such as running new lines, climbing ladders, and configuring Wi-Fi networks.
- Solve customer problems and provide exceptional service.
Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Lift and move up to 60 lbs (some ladders weigh 50-60 lbs).
- Weigh less than 275 lbs for ladder safety.
- Work in small spaces or at heights (up to 28 ft).
- Be available for overtime, emergency call-outs, and holiday work.
- Identify wire and cable colors.
- Qualify on a pre-employment assessment.
Pay
Installation Technicians earn between $25.15 and $31.39 per hour, with an average starting salary of $58,841. Individual starting salary may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
