Installation Technician
About the role
You’re the key to elevating the customer experience, providing seamless installation and activation of our state-of-the-art technology. As an Installation Technician, you’ll work independently at our customer’s homes and businesses as a trusted expert, installing the latest technology for high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services. You’ll have the opportunity to meet new people every day while solving problems and being rewarded for doing great work. Whether you’re putting in a new line, climbing a ladder, or simply plugging in and activating a Wi-Fi network, no two days will be the same.
Responsibilities
- Install and activate high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services
- Work independently at customer homes and businesses
- Solve technical problems and provide best-in-class service
- Perform tasks such as running new lines and climbing ladders
- Identify wire and cable colors
Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Possess a valid state driver’s license
- Lift and move up to 60 lbs (some ladders weigh 50-60 lbs)
- Weigh less than 325 lbs, required for ladder safety
- Work in small spaces or aloft (up to 28 ft.)
- Be available for overtime, emergency call-outs, and holiday work
- Qualify on pre-employment assessment
Pay
Our Installation Technicians earn between $17.26 and $31.00 an hour. Our average starting salary is $35,906 per year.
Schedule
- Weekly hours: 40
- Time type: Regular
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Availability for overtime, emergency call-outs, and holiday work
