Job Responsibilities

  • Travel to and from job sites in a company-provided pickup truck or cargo van.
  • Inspect materials for damage, shortages, quality problems, etc. prior to installation start.
  • Load and unload materials at the job site.
  • Install, configure, and set up various types of equipment according to client specifications and technical requirements.
  • Perform onsite installations and ensure equipment is properly connected, calibrated, and operational.
  • Conduct thorough system testing to verify equipment functionality, identify any issues, and ensure proper performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.
  • Maintain a clean installation job site by removing trash and debris daily.
  • Work cohesively with a team of technicians to install products and complete projects on schedule.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Process expenses monthly through company portal.
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and vehicle maintenance through established vendors and processes.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in general trade as an installation technician or general labor.
  • Kardex and Spacesaver installation experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and pass a Department of Motor Vehicle Check.
  • Pass a background check and drug test due to the secure sites we work on.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10-20% for out-of-town projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, band saws, circular saws, etc.
  • Proven ability to maintain a professional image.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Certifications such as OSHA, forklift, scissor lift, CPR/First Aid are a plus.
