Job Responsibilities
- Travel to and from job sites in a company-provided pickup truck or cargo van.
- Inspect materials for damage, shortages, quality problems, etc. prior to installation start.
- Load and unload materials at the job site.
- Install, configure, and set up various types of equipment according to client specifications and technical requirements.
- Perform onsite installations and ensure equipment is properly connected, calibrated, and operational.
- Conduct thorough system testing to verify equipment functionality, identify any issues, and ensure proper performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.
- Maintain a clean installation job site by removing trash and debris daily.
- Work cohesively with a team of technicians to install products and complete projects on schedule.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Process expenses monthly through company portal.
- Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and vehicle maintenance through established vendors and processes.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in general trade as an installation technician or general labor.
- Kardex and Spacesaver installation experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and pass a Department of Motor Vehicle Check.
- Pass a background check and drug test due to the secure sites we work on.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10-20% for out-of-town projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and specifications.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, band saws, circular saws, etc.
- Proven ability to maintain a professional image.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Certifications such as OSHA, forklift, scissor lift, CPR/First Aid are a plus.
