Installation Manager

About the role

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, seeks an Installation Manager to join its operations team at the Portland, OR location. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in appliance installation or 5+ years of installing appliances as a lead, with demonstrated proficiency in standard hand tools, electric tools, and motorized/manual lifting devices.

Responsibilities

• Directs reports: 4 - 6 Installation Technicians
• Supports outside sales and showroom consultants to help secure new business
• Works across multiple KOB’s – appliances and lighting
• Manages vendor relations regarding pricing and products
• Leads appliance install tech’s, delivery, and installation coordinator associates
• Led outside contractors if project activities are sub-contracted
• Consults with associates and customers at job sites
• Performs quality checks on the installation work to ensure accurate installation practices are used
• Verifies that all paperwork and documentation related to the installation is completed and accurate
• Manages installation related issues and provides solutions
• Plans, schedules, or coordinates project activities to meet timelines
• Directs or coordinates activities of project personnel
• Works with branch trainer and managers to ensure delivery and install processes are maintained
• Participates in leadership meetings and represents associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team
• Conducts regular associate meetings
• Represents the organization to customers, associates, and leadership as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience preferred with duties in routing, scheduling, or appliance installation
• 5+ years installing appliances as a lead
• Demonstrated experience using standard hand tools, electric tools and motorized/manual lifting devices
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
• Excellent customer service skills a must
• Attention to detail, shown integrity and professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required

The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
