Responsibilities
- Perform installations of Smoke Guard products.
- Perform repairs and replacement of Smoke Guard products.
- Complete and submit daily reports and warranty work reports thoroughly and on time.
- Participate in fire inspections, including testing equipment and providing product documentation to customers.
- Coordinate on-site with other trades (e.g., electricians, superintendents, drywall teams) to detail power needs and unit housing requirements.
- Work efficiently to minimize mobilizations and windshield time.
- Attend and actively participate in required safety trainings at SG Solutions or on project jobs.
- Notify management of issues or potential issues on job sites and address them as needed.
- Ensure professional and respectful interactions on job sites and maintain good working relationships with site superintendents and other trades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Installer, Repair Technician, or similar role.
- 2+ years of experience in the Construction industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Texas driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Regular travel within Texas (Austin & San Antonio metro areas) is required.
- Ability to work on active construction sites or in finished buildings, including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, loading/unloading equipment, and safely operating a company vehicle.
Skills
- Ability to gain in-depth technical knowledge of Smoke Guard products and perform troubleshooting and repair work.
- Ability to read building specifications, blueprints, and as-built drawings.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools and ability to determine the correct tools and equipment for the job.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision to complete work on time and according to quality standards.
- Ability to carry and lift heavy objects (50 lbs), walk, and stand for long periods.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications.
