Install Apprentice

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment.
• Support the lead technician in measuring, cutting, and installing ductwork according to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area during installations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Learn to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams related to HVAC installations.
• Help in the proper setup and use of tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installations.
• Participate in the testing of HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local codes.
• Absorb troubleshooting and resolving installation issues under the supervision of a senior technician.
• Load and unload materials and equipment for HVAC installation projects.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in HVAC installation techniques.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Document and report any installation challenges or discrepancies to the lead technician.

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• The ability to lift and move heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
• A basic understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• A willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• A strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• The willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
