About the role
The Master of Public Health program at Michigan State University seeks candidates for part-time Assistant Professor/Instructor positions to support a growing academic public health program. The program offers a fully online, competency-based curriculum designed to address the public health workforce shortage.
Responsibilities
- Teach on a part-time, as needed basis in the areas of Rural Health, Global Health, Data Management/Informatics, Intervention Design/Program Planning, Public Health Methods & Research Design, and Health Policy and Advocacy.
- Collaborate with a team of approximately 20 full and part-time faculty members to advance public health practice and the well-being of global and local communities.
- Provide leadership and demonstrate public health practice, leadership, and community partnership skills.
- Teach graduate-level courses online, emphasizing public health practice, leadership, and community partnership.
Requirements
- Masters degree in public health or related fields from an accredited institution.
- Doctorate in Public Health preferred for Assistant Professor rank.
- Minimum of 2 years as the Lead Instructor at graduate level.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications
