Primary Function Of This Role

• Revising and updating course materials
• Teaching courses in person and/or online
• Guiding and assessing student learning
• Holding weekly office hours
• Effective use of MSU class management platform D2L and University Instructor Systems
• Timely grading of student assessments
• Prompt communication with students

Required Degree

Doctorate - Social Work

Minimum Requirements

• MSW for Instructor Ranks
• Ph.D. for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor Rank by the date of employment.
• The successful candidate must also have demonstrated experience in teaching courses and/or seminars.

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to effectively manage classroom discussions
• Experience with educational technology tools such as course management platforms, Microsoft Office, and Zoom
