Position Title: Inspector IIStatus:Hourly Bi-WeeklyReports To: Quality Engineer III General: A mid-level Inspector position under the direction of the Quality Manager hired and trained to inspect finished goods per AMSAFE blue prints, work instructions and procedures. They should be a high energy, self-motivated, personable individual who can work well with anyone on the production floor. They should have an exceptional work ethic, and a high attention to detail. Must have an understanding of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tap measures. Essential Functions:• Strong understanding of First Articles and Net-Inspect• Able to write IRR’s and rejections to the line.• Be very familiar with all AmSafe product lines• Must package properly to customer requests.• Able to inspect parts to engineering specifications and blue print drawings.• Able to navigate PLM, NET Inspect and Backlog.• Enforce inspection standards.• Must be familiar with various inspections tools. (tape measure, calipers, micrometer)• Required to follow all company polices. • Other responsibilities can be assigned as needed.• Follow and assist in enforcing all company policies and procedures with minimal assistance.• Actively participate in sustaining 5S activities to maintain a safe and organized work center. Competencies:• Minimum of one year experience as a quality inspector.• Strong time management• Good analytical mindset.• Moderate computer skills and understanding.• Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred• Must also be able to add and subtract whole numbers.• Must be able to carry out verbal and written instructions.• Continuous light physical effort and manual dexterity.• Working with and moving materials, not to exceed 40lbs.• Must be able to use and understand measuring devices such as Go / No-Go Gauges, measuring tapes, proprietary diagnostic tools, and multimeters. • Be able to identify assemblies and components listed on the pick lists and blueprints. Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Work hours are Monday through Friday and shift start times are determined by your department manager.
