Duties & Responsibilities
- Review of specifications, procedures and specified standards utilized on the construction site
- Electrical testing monitoring
- Inspection, witnessing or verification to establish the quality of a material, structure or system
- Factory acceptance tests of installations and equipment
- Monitoring electrical systems of plant equipment before and during installation
- Organization and implementation of record retention systems
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and processes to verify conformance with project specifications and industry codes, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with senior inspectors and project teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex challenges, contributing to the successful delivery of innovative, sustainable projects
- Exercise independent judgment in selecting work methods and making improvements, while aligning with company policies and project goals
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all inspections and reports
- Review work for completeness and accuracy, adhering to industry standards and promoting compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge, fostering both personal development and the continuous improvement of the team
- Provide occasional guidance and support to team members, sharing best practices and promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project objectives
Qualifications
- Required experience: 10+ years of inspection experience on-site during construction in Electrical inspection
- Industry standard certifications preferred
- Technical school graduate or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience in quality control or related fields
- Demonstrated experience in quality control inspections with a strong understanding of industry codes, regulatory standards, and quality assurance best practices
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment in dynamic project environments
- Proficiency in using tools, equipment, and systems specific to quality control inspections, ensuring accurate and efficient project execution
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders across different disciplines
- Intermediate understanding of project systems, processes, and tools
- Willingness to lead and mentor others when necessary, promoting continuous improvement and a commitment to quality within the team
