Typical Day
- Calibration and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Time study and line balancing.
- Installation and modification of workstations.
- Create / modify work instructions.
- Layout and tooling design.
- Support new product introduction activities.
- Leading improvement projects.
- Monitoring, auditing and providing guidance to line operators.
- Processing test runs and preparing records (breakdown events, scrap, etc.), charts, and graphs of results for presentations to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
- Providing technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
- Line change configuration.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (electronic components is preferred).
- Electro-mechanical knowledge, electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and dimensional annotation comprehension.
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Able to work with and communicate cross functionally with operations, quality and other departments.
- Able to speak and understand English.
