Insomniac - Talent Buyer

About the role

The Talent Buyer will support and execute all aspects of talent booking for Festivals. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, scheduling, contracts, promotion, marketing, ticket sales, daily administrative reports, and staff and production coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support VP, Concerts & Talent Buyer on all festival, rave and concert bookings
• Aid in curating eclectic show lineups
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks such as approving contracts, following up on offers, advancing marketing for assets, proofreading grids and set times
• Execute annual business plans for events, ensuring targets are met
• Maintain and develop promotional partnerships domestically and internationally
• Persistently develop and maintain venue relationships
• Collaborate with artists and their managers on new hard ticket or touring opportunities
• Create strategic brand plans to accelerate growth
• Study market trends for short-term and long-term opportunities
• Field and make calls for Talent Buyer, follow up with correspondence as needed
• Work closely with Production and Operations teams on budgets, settlements, and site advancements
• Attend and work at company events (domestic/international travel expected, economy class)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience
• 5+ years’ experience in music entertainment industry talent curation, promotions, or business development
• Proficient user of Microsoft suite
• Clean criminal and driving record, valid driver’s license, passport, and car insurance

Pay

$90,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD

Schedule

This is not a remote position and requires relocation to Los Angeles, CA.
