About the role
The Talent Buyer will support and execute all aspects of talent booking for Festivals. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, scheduling, contracts, promotion, marketing, ticket sales, daily administrative reports, and staff and production coordination.
Responsibilities
- Support VP, Concerts & Talent Buyer on all festival, rave and concert bookings
- Aid in curating eclectic show lineups
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as approving contracts, following up on offers, promoting assets, proofreading grids and set times
- Develop and maintain promotional partnerships domestically and internationally
- Maintain and develop venue relationships
- Collaborate with artists and their managers on new hard ticket or touring opportunities
- Create strategic brand plans to accelerate growth
- Study market trends for emerging opportunities
- Attend and work company events (travel expected)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in music entertainment industry talent curation, promotions, or business development
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite
- Clean criminal and driving record, valid driver’s license, passport, and car insurance
Qualifications
- Passionate about dance music and talent curation
- Willingness to relocate to Los Angeles, CA
- Ability to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments
- Willingness to travel to work during evening, weekend hours, and attend events
Skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Knowledge of event planning and execution
