Inside Sales Representative - Waterworks
About the role
Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing solutions, and delivering exceptional service at every interaction. Manage customer orders, quotes, and project inquiries from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail. Partner with Outside Sales Representatives and branch leadership to identify opportunities, grow existing accounts, and support new business development. Recommend products and solutions that help customers complete projects safely, efficiently, and successfully. Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time. Act as a trusted point of contact, resolving questions, solving problems, and creating a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders, quotes, and project inquiries from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Partner with Outside Sales Representatives and branch leadership to identify opportunities, grow existing accounts, and support new business development.

- Cook up with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.
- Act as a trusted point of contact, resolving questions, solving problems, and creating a positive customer experience.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment where collaboration, initiative, and continuous improvement drive success.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, sales, construction, distribution, warehouse, or related experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Comfort using computers, business software, and learning new technology.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
- The ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in construction, utilities, waterworks, industrial distribution, or related industries is a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and our customers.
