Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and retaining customers, driving sales in the assigned territory, and managing the sales process.

About the Role

This position focuses on growing a portfolio of repeat customers across the assigned territory. The role involves engaging, growing, and retaining customers through outbound efforts, preparing quotes, assisting with product selection and configuration, and promoting new product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain customers
  • Drive sales in assigned territory through outbound efforts
  • Manage sales process via calls, email, web chats
  • Prepare quotes and assist customers with pricing and availability
  • Order processing and order status resolution
  • Resolve issues by working with the customer, territory sales team, and/or internal departments
  • Act as liaison between customers and technical team
  • Facilitate providing customers with marketing assistance
  • Deliver sales presentations and product updates
  • Use in-depth knowledge of product application and specifications to assist customers in selecting products
  • Configure generators for customers based on fuel source requirements, voltage, and transfer switch compatibility specifications
  • Aid in the promotion of new product launches
  • Guide customers to utilize tools available to confirm correct product
  • Provide post-onboarding support & development through the dealer/distributor life cycle
  • Drive engagement of customers to all applicable resources and programs
  • Promote channel programs and benefits of participating in these programs
  • Inform and educate on promotional opportunities available to customers to enhance relationships and continue to foster and grow sales

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year relevant sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP

Schedule

Office Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel is required.
