About the role
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Location Manager, or Territory Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the Kendall Electric sales team. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the products or services offered. You will build relationships, close sales, and ensure a smooth sales process by understanding and addressing customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
- Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
- Participate in sales and product training sessions
- Process orders and quotes in the business system
- Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
- Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
- Explain and articulate product features and applications
- Make recommendations to customers for product selections
- Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
- Understand customers’ needs and identify sales opportunities
- Maintain a database of current and potential customers
- Provide customers with product submittal sheets for approval and track progress
- Close sales and achieve sales targets
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements
- 2 years of customer service, sales, or distribution experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems
- Excellent work ethic, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work well cross-functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for all levels of the organization
- Experience handling escalated customer requests and negotiation
- Ability to see, talk, and hear
- Ability to sit for 8 hours a day
Qualifications
- 2 years of electrical sales and customer service experience (preferred)
- Eclipse ERP experience (preferred)
- Associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Schedule
Normal office environment with occasional travel to branches or business-related functions such as training or seminars.
