Job Summary

We’re hiring a Datacom Inside Sales Representative for our Clarksburg, WV branch. This role involves supporting datacom and low-voltage product support for customers, preparing quotes, processing orders, and building strong customer relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Support datacom customers with urgency and accuracy
  • Handle customer inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, coordinate with vendors and internal teams
  • Partner with outside sales and branch leadership
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell, cross-sell, develop new accounts, reactivate inactive customers, and bring attention to products or solutions customers may not know we offer
  • Keep projects moving by tracking orders, communicating backorders or delivery updates, coordinating product availability, and helping customers stay ahead of jobsite needs
  • Build strong customer relationships by being responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and willing to help customers solve problems

Requirements

  • Experience in inside sales, counter sales, customer service, electrical distribution, datacom, low-voltage, telecom, security, networking, or contractor supply
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
  • Technical aptitude and a willingness to learn datacom products, applications, vendors, and systems
  • The ability to manage multiple quotes, orders, calls, emails, and customer priorities in a fast-paced branch environment
  • Confidence asking good questions, following up, and helping move opportunities forward
  • Strong attention to detail when preparing quotes, entering orders, and coordinating customer needs
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and business systems; ERP/CRM experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Datacom, structured cabling, fiber, copper, low-voltage, telecom, security, AV, networking, electrical distribution, contractor sales, or BICSI-related experience
