Inside Sales Representative(Counter Sales)

Job Summary

This customer-facing role is ideal for professionals who enjoy building relationships, delivering exceptional service, and supporting customers with equipment, parts, and supply orders in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide professional, friendly service.
• Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
• Aid customers in identifying the right products, equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Support daily branch operations and collaborate with the Branch Manager.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe sales counter and work area.
• Cook up with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Resolve customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Contribute to achieving branch sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of customer service, retail, wholesale, or counter sales experience preferred.
• Experience in HVAC wholesale distribution is an advantage but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory lookup.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening, where applicable.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the local market.
• Experience working in wholesale distribution or industrial supply environments.
• Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
• Comfortable operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material-handling equipment (training and certification may be required where applicable).
