Weyerhaeuser is hiring a driven Inside Sales Representative to join our Charlotte Distribution team. In this role, you'll work closely with an integrated sales team, learn our proven sales approach, and build strong relationships with the customers we serve every day. This is more than an order-taking role. Our Inside Sales Representatives are a primary voice of Weyerhaeuser for our customers, communicating daily by phone and email, identifying sales opportunities, solving problems, and helping customers grow their businesses. Weyerhaeuser is searching for an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to support our Charlotte Distribution facility located in Concord, North Carolina. The ISR is an office-based sales role responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with building materials dealers, National Accounts, specialty retailers, and remanufacturers. The ISR works as part of an integrated sales team focused on meeting customer expectations, growing profitable sales, and developing day-to-day business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for an established customer base, building trusted relationships through frequent phone and email communication.
- Proactively connect with existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities and grow sales, while working with suppliers to support product and customer needs.
- Take ownership of customer questions, sales opportunities, and issues, providing responsive and knowledgeable support through resolution.
- Profitably grow sales with independent dealers, National Accounts, specialty retailers, and remanufacturers by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and prospecting for new business.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, sellers, and sales managers while executing promotions and market activities that drive incremental sales.
- Develop strong product knowledge across Weyerhaeuser's portfolio and use an understanding of each customer's business to influence buying decisions and provide solutions that create value.
- Partner closely with Weyerhaeuser Dealer Sales Representatives to develop and execute customer strategies, follow up on sales opportunities, and resolve customer issues.
- Collaborate across Customer Service, Inventory, Operations, and other teams to support accurate orders, product availability, and on-time delivery.
- Gather and share market intelligence while providing input on product mix, pricing, inventory, and demand to support both customer and site success.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of sales, customer-facing, or related business experience preferred.
- Building materials experience and product knowledge preferred.
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Demonstrated selling and customer-service skills.
- Ability and willingness to make proactive outbound sales calls.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take ownership through resolution.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn technical products and apply that knowledge in customer conversations.
- Ability to influence customer buying decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Proven commitment to working safely.
Pay
This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting an hourly range of $30.69 - $46.00 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Sales Incentive Program, which offers a quarterly cash bonus.
