SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing quotes, orders and service to customers. This position requires high accuracy and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify customer needs; sell products that maximize Universal's product offerings.
- Promptly respond to telephone, fax and e-mail inquiries from customers.
- Generate sales quotes and sales orders with accurate pricing and materials.
- Determine appropriate delivery method based on customer needs, cost effective delivery, and product margin.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers.
- Attend one or two trade shows annually and interact with customers and vendors.
- Travel in the field as needed.
- Assists in developing and executing sales plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit, growth and expansion of sales of company products and/or services.
- Provides current information on products, applications, and services, helping current and prospective buyers with technical concerns and/or problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Unwavering dedication to customer service and support.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability required.
- Knowledge of material handling, ag or farm equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
- Preferred candidates will have 2-year sales and customer service experience with a background in the material handling, ag or farm industry.
- Experience And Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred.
- Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability required.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment preferred.
- Background in the material handling, ag, or farm industry preferred.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to be a self-starter.
- Possession of a valid drivers' license.
- Occasional overnight travel.
- Work Location: In person, no remote or hybrid.
