About the role
The Inside Sales Representative will serve as the first point of contact for walk-in, phone, and email-based customer inquiries, supporting both individual customers and the Outside Sales team.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate customer quotes via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Handle walk-in sales and guide customers through product selections
- Enter and process orders with precision and speed
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock levels meet demand
- Cook up delivery schedules and provide updates to customers
- Support the Outside Sales team by managing backend processes and customer follow-ups
- Maintain a clean and professional showroom and promote featured products
- Address and resolve customer issues proactively and professionally
- Prepare and send product samples, catalogs, and credit applications
- Review open sales reports and ensure data integrity
- Pull counter orders as needed to ensure timely customer service
- Work closely with the Branch Operations Manager and sales staff daily
Requirements
- 1+ year in customer service or related position
- 3+ years in inside sales or similar position
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s degree in business, sales, or related field
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- A collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn and operate company software, including CSD
