Inside Sales Representative

Essential Job Functions

  • Proactively cold-call prospects generated through various lead sources
  • Research and identify new sales opportunities and potential accounts
  • Identify key decision-makers within target markets to initiate the sales process
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic sales approaches and ensure timely follow-up on actions
  • Review customer inquiries and specifications to prepare accurate quotations, setting prices and margins within established guidelines
  • Deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and other sales activities
  • Conduct outbound follow-up with existing clients to promote cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Manage unsolicited inbound prospect calls and convert them into sales
  • Clearly communicate product features, benefits, pricing, and terms, and prepare professional sales quotes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data and account information in Salesforce
  • Provide application guidance and coordinate with Wire Engineering as needed to address technical issues
  • Assist with other duties and projects assigned by management

Education, Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Inside Sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong ability to identify, qualify, and convert sales opportunities, including those involving multiple stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of sales principles, techniques, and practices
  • Effective time management, call planning, and account development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a persuasive and customer-focused approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
  • High level of energy, motivation, and enthusiasm
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and objection-handling abilities
  • Capable of performing basic business math
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
