Professional Contractor Supply is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to support their Dallas, TX market. This role works closely with the Outside Sales team and serves as a key point of contact for valued customers, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities
- Sell and service customers, providing pricing and product application information
- Prioritize inside sales generation by taking phone/fax orders and providing delivery information
- Prepare quotes and follow up in a timely fashion
- Service Outside Sales staff, providing feedback on large quotes
- Input all orders into the sales order entry system promptly
- Schedule orders according to customer requirements
- Maintain day-to-day customer relations and service duties
- Fulfill open orders within a 30-day time frame
- Maintain sales documentation to ensure accounting, order, and inventory data accuracy
- Keep catalogs and price lists current; inform customers of promotions and quantity prices
- Answer questions regarding product applications
- Cold-call to increase sales and create/maintain customer lists
- Coordinate efforts with company advertising and promotions
- Call vendor representatives to sell new products or introduce new product lines
- Keep management advised of competitive products and prices
- Attend department and company meetings to improve selling skills and product knowledge
- Communicate with Purchasing regarding forecasts and sales spikes
- Stay current on product knowledge and maintain a thorough understanding of the company catalog
- Perform vendor relations and negotiations as needed
- Maintain computer and software-related skills
- Provide promotional literature and product information as requested
- Keep supervisors apprised of customer issues
- Assist with the company’s inventory management program when required
- Suggest related “add-on” items for customer orders
- Communicate with outside sales and management regarding job starts and sites
- Communicate with customers regarding new products or feedback on potential new products
- Assist other inside sales staff as needed
- Participate in job-related training and continuing education
- Represent the company professionally in a public relations capacity
- Maintain a neat appearance in accordance with company dress code policy
- Remain courteous and service-minded while dealing with employees and customers
- Maintain punctuality and regular, reliable attendance
- Protect and maintain confidentiality of company trade secrets and proprietary information
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with internal and external customers
- Support a culture of collaboration and maintain a positive, productive work environment
- Complete projects and assignments on time
- Comply with all rules and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or department management
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of tools and products in the construction industry
- Familiarity with product line displays, showroom, and product application demonstrations
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and well-organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to achieve results
- Skill in negotiating tough situations with internal and external groups
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Enthusiasm for working in an evolving organization where flexibility and teamwork are essential
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in NetSuite and MS Office Suite, including Excel
- Ability to report to work in a timely manner
- May be required to work weekends and after regular business hours as needed
- Travel required for hands-on product and application training, as well as other assigned training
Pay
Starting at $64,500 per year based on experience.
