Inside Sales Representative

About the role

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our Commercial team in Calvert, AL. This position works 2–3 days on-site. In this role, you will provide customers with excellent service that differentiates Outokumpu from competitors, from order entry to claims.

The Americas headquarters is in Calvert, AL, home to one of the most technically advanced integrated stainless-steel mills in the U.S. Our footprint also includes a cold rolling mill and service center in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and a commercial office in Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Execute quotes for the Americas and European production facilities based on each facility’s unique product offerings.
• Provide accurate and proactive order status updates to customers regarding process order status and delivery information.
• Release orders for shipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as late orders, missing paperwork, logistic challenges, and production-related problems.
• Reconcile invoice issues.
• Enter and modify orders for up to 3 manufacturing facilities, ensuring orders align with each facility’s unique product offering.
• Serve as a liaison between multiple internal departments and the customer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Marketing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment (metals industry experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software required.
• Experience with SAP or JDE-iSeries is a plus.

Pay

Salary range: $67,500–$84,800.
