Inside Sales Representative
This role is remote-eligible with applicable experience and will cover the Northeastern region of the US.
About the role
Provide the best customer service in a positive and professional manner by assisting clinics with information on promotions, pricing, product updates, and resolving concerns. Support internal customers to enhance service quality and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Take orders for products over the phone from veterinary customers, field sales representatives, and manufacturer representatives, entering them into the system while cross-selling and upselling using the Business Builder format.
- Review internet orders for product and promotion opportunities to upsell.
- Make outbound calls to clinics to solicit orders and provide information on new products and promotions, utilizing the Business Builder format for cross-selling and upselling.
- Prospect new clients and reactivate accounts from provided lists, updating necessary paperwork.
- Resolve unique demands, including problem-solving, processing credits, managing returns, providing price quotes, handling special orders, updating address changes, and tracking sales blitz tallies, DEA certificates, and state licenses.
- Read, understand, and organize mail, fax, emails, and voicemail from internal and external customers related to products, promotions, and procedures.
- Complete research for clinic inquiries and send requested product information via fax or mail.
- Attend meetings, webinars, and conference calls for training purposes.
- Complete other duties, assignments, and special projects as requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a veterinary industry-related or customer service position.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills, including diplomacy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work accurately with highly detailed information.
- Ability to learn a vast array of product lines.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry.

Work Environment
Work is typically performed in an office environment Monday through Friday. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. Rare weekend availability and occasional local or overnight travel may be required.
