Responsibilities
- Maintain commercial relationships with existing accounts and ensure the accuracy of customer database information.
- Interact with sales, customers, finance, and other departments to accurately process orders in a timely manner.
- Verify pricing and terms on orders using published pricing sheets and pricing guidelines.
- Send Sales Order Acknowledgements to customers and provide additional documentation as requested.
- Attend production meetings and work closely with the Operations team to monitor customer order status, communicate schedule changes, and escalate critical customer concerns.
- Process customer credits and complaints in accordance with company policy while communicating with operations, supply chain, and sales teams.
- Assist in resolving issues related to purchase order requirements, shipments, invoicing, and product quality.
- Learn product features, capabilities, and applications to provide accurate quotations to customers.
- Serve as backup support for other Inside Sales team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all company environmental, health, and safety policies and government sanction screening requirements.
- Participate in Lean/5S process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO Quality System procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of sales experience with a demonstrated ability to successfully manage customer relationships preferred.
Skills
- Excellent telephone sales and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time-sensitive issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets, merge data, and analyze information.
- Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Ability to work extended periods in a sedentary position while sitting, talking, looking at a computer, reviewing charts and graphs, and performing repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift and move objects and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members in an environment that may be noisy.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when onsite.
