Inside Sales AssistantLocation: Los Angeles, CA Starting Pay:$32.65 per hourResponsibilitiesCommunicate with customers by phone and email regarding business opportunities, shipment needs, quotations, bookings, ship dates, and follow-up.Document customer discussions and ensure bookings comply with regulations for origin, transit, and destination countries.Prepare quotations, verify profitability requirements, and follow up for feedback when business is not awarded.Identify sales opportunities, communicate potential business to management, and identify customer niches.Recommend products and upsell based on customer needs, transport timelines, and special handling requirements.Complete loadability checks for non-standard cargo with authorized agents; report customer or GHA issues to management and perform assigned support duties.Update customer information and promote eChannel tools, including eBooking and eAWB.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred; inside sales, customer service, air cargo, logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation experience preferred.Knowledge of international shipping, booking processes, cargo regulations, quotations, profitability, or special handling preferred.Strong communication, customer service, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.Ability to use email, telephone, Microsoft Office, customer databases, and cargo systems.Ability to prioritize requests and communicate accurately in English.Essential FunctionsMust be able to remain stationary for extended periods while using a computer, telephone, printer, and other office equipment.Must be able to move about the office to access files, equipment, and materials.Must be able to communicate with customers, colleagues, managers, and business partners and exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.Must be able to inspect and assess customer information, shipment details, quotations, booking data, and documents for accuracy.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a professional sales-office environment near coworkers and office equipment. Occasional movement through cargo areas may involve vehicle traffic, equipment, varying temperatures, and distracting sounds.ScheduleTuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
