About the role

Housby is looking for an ambitious and experienced Inside Sales Representative to solicit new business for our Used Parts sector, while also maintaining and growing existing accounts. This individual will handle internet sales through our wholesale and customer websites, answer incoming calls, make consistent outbound calls to new customers, support various sales functions for the Outside Sales Team, and assist in-house customers as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and email requests for used parts, as well as complete outgoing phone calls and emails to potential and existing customers to sell parts inventory.
  • Prepare call reports completely, accurately, and on a timely basis.
  • Discuss uses and features of various parts with customers based on knowledge of equipment.
  • Field and reply to customer inquiries regarding used parts in a timely manner.
  • Record sales by invoicing customers.
  • Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of Housby.
  • Maintain a specific amount of customer touch points each day through emails and/or calls received and/or sent.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Follow-up with buyers to ensure successful referral business.
  • Provide regular reports on online sales performance to senior management.
  • Ensure parts listed on the website are accurately portrayed with photos and descriptions according to Housby's standards.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of parts, along with taking care of walk-in customers, as needed.
  • Support Outside Sales Team with various tasks including parts sourcing, data input, customer follow-up, etc.
  • Maintain and create good customer relationships, internal and external.
  • Use and understand parts manuals for parts research.
  • Participate in job-related training and development.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Follow the Company's safety rules and safety policies.

Requirements

  • Previous Inside Sales experience required.
  • Used parts experience within the Heavy Duty industry highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms.
  • Strong computer and phone skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer needs.
  • Effective oral communication over the phone and in person.
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of material.
  • Requires the use of both hands.
  • Position may require standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to view a computer monitor.

Work Environment

  • The work environment for this position can vary due to differences in work sites.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxins, and outside weather conditions.
  • Potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning material, or other toxic materials commonly found in motor vehicle service departments, some of which may be considered health hazards.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • Works primarily indoors.
