Key Responsibilities
- Connecting with customers primarily via email and phone, with occasional face-to-face meetings.
- Creating, updating, and reviewing service contracts in collaboration with key contract holders.
- Working closely with the pricing and trade teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing and rates.
- Reviewing operating system menus in detail to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Making rate inquiries and new opportunities, ensuring the right teams are involved.
- Following up on pending issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Aiding in daily reports for Account Executives to ensure no opportunities are missed.
- Tracking daily bookings, addressing rating issues, and resolving system glitches.
- Taking on additional tasks as needed to support the team’s success.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, global logistics, or maritime is preferred.
- Experience: Relevant coursework or entry-level experience in ocean freight, supply-chain management, or global logistics.
- Essential Skills: Strong Business Sense, Customer-Focused, Negotiation Basics, Sales & Marketing Knowledge, Global Business Insight, Shipping Knowledge, Self-Motivated and Collaborative, Clear Communication, Organized and Detail-Oriented, Problem Solving Skills, Proficient in using MS Office Applications.
