Position Summary

GreenWaste is seeking an Account Manager Inside – C & D to support one or more facilities. This role manages a portfolio of clients, develops tailored solutions, and drives revenue growth through strategic partnerships.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Regularly call and email clients to review service performance, volume commitments, address concerns, and cross-sell opportunities for additional services.
  • Proactively manage account renewals, volume commitments, and negotiate contract extensions.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand services within existing accounts by understanding client needs and aligning them with company offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized waste recycling and composting solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing clients with insights into industry trends, regulatory updates, and sustainability best practices.
  • Partner with clients to develop and implement waste reduction, recycling, composting, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic waste and recycling audits and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor account performance, including service delivery, financial metrics, and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to clients, highlighting successes, key metrics, and areas for improvement.
  • Use CRM tools to maintain accurate account records and track sales activities.
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve service issues and ensure seamless execution of client programs.
  • Advocate for client needs within the organization while balancing operational capabilities and business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the waste and recycling industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of waste management operations, recycling processes, and sustainability practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing accounts and achieving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with clients at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client visits and events.
  • Language proficiency in English and/or Spanish.

Physical Demands

  • Make sure to list the physical demands, such as push, pull, standing.
  • Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Constant bending and twisting.
  • Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office-based and fieldwork, including site visits, trade shows, and community outreach events.
  • Flexible hours, including occasional weekends for events or client meetings.
