Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative supports commercial execution and customer engagement across assigned accounts within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Outside Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Product & Application Development (P&AD), Operations, and Finance to manage quoting, pricing, forecasting, and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Account Support
- Support assigned customer accounts by responding to inquiries and preparing quotations
- Partner with Outside Sales on pipeline tracking and customer engagement activities
- Aid in pricing administration and basic margin tracking
- Maintain communication with customers regarding product availability and timelines
- Order Alignment & Support
- Partner with Customer Service and Supply Chain to support order visibility and alignment
- Monitor open orders, shipments, and backorders; communicate updates to customers and internal teams
- Provide basic forecast input based on customer demand trends
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Standard Workflow (SAP/CRM-Aligned)
- Receive customer inquiries or RFQs
- Coordinate with internal teams to confirm product specifications and timing
- Support pricing alignment with Sales/Commercial leadership
- Generate and submit quotations
- Maintain and update pricing in SAP (ECC/S4HANA) with guidance
- Track order progress and assist in resolving service, pricing, or logistics issues
- Maintain CRM updates and reporting cadence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or commercial support (internships/co-ops applicable)
- Interest in chemical manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
