Job Title
Payroll & Benefits Specialist
- Develop and maintain payroll systems
- Administer benefits programs
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
About the Role
Support the HR department in managing employee benefits and payroll processes. Ensure accuracy and timely processing of all payroll transactions and benefit enrollments.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing including direct deposits and tax withholdings
- Oversee the administration of health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate data entry and reporting
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits and payroll questions
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in payroll or benefits administration
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Valid California driver’s license
- Willingness to travel within the Sacramento area as needed
