Responsibilities

• Coach, lead, and support the existing inside sales team.
• Develop Short Term Incentive Programs to keep the inside team motivated.
• Partner with HR to develop performance improvement plans, up to and including staff upgrades.
• Create an optimal inside sales schedule that best supports customer service.
• Set up staff reception area to provide a warm greeting for customer and guest visits.
• Own and manage the Non-Stocked Item (NSI) Process:
  • Approve or deny reorder requests for non-stocked items submitted by sales reps (requests must be made by Thursday end of day).
  • Organize requests by region and hold weekly Monday meetings with Regional Sales Managers to approve or deny NSI requests based on customer size, current purchase volume, item value, and potential profit gains.
  • Communicate approvals and denials to sales reps via email.
  • Send approvals to the buyer for ordering and track the purchasing flow.
  • Notify sales reps when product arrives and ensure all NSIs are shipped the next day.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Food Service sales management.
• Local resident to the defined geographic area is preferred.
• Food Service experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of Relationship Management.
• Strong understanding of Food Service customers, market dynamics, and requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work in a team of Food Service professionals.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive a Food Service sales team.
