About the role

To support our client-centric business model, LRQA is growing our commercial teams, which consist of Inside Sales, External Sales, and Corporate Account Managers. The Inside Sales team is responsible for lead generation, transaction sales, and engaging with dormant clients to expand our reach, understand client needs, and support external sales.

The Inside Sales Team serves as the interface between clients and LRQA teams (e.g., Service Delivery, External Sales, Marketing, and Service Delivery Support) to develop relevant services, marketing, and sales strategies, grow the lifetime value of existing clients, and maintain our high-end brand positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers, make outbound calls to potential customers in the assigned region, and track and proactively connect with potential leads through Salesforce—analyze, qualify, and reassign leads to External Sales as appropriate.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails.
  • Manage active leads in the region and understand customers' needs to identify sales opportunities.
  • Stay updated on product and service information and competing products/services.
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers and contacts.
  • Support External Sales and collaborate with the marketing team to ensure quality leads.
  • Ensure all commercial contracts for Transaction Sales are quoted efficiently and calculated with the required level of profitability.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customer services and technical delivery teams.
  • Collect feedback from clients and work with internal teams to resolve concerns.
  • Maintain strong communication with sales colleagues, account managers, and the business development community across LRQA Group.
  • Monitor and report on all client meetings and visits, including competitor activity, and disseminate this information to the line manager.
  • Contribute to sales review meetings and support LRQA at industry events, local seminars, and presentations as required.
  • Follow LRQA Governance Procedures and guidelines.
  • Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Contribute to protecting and enhancing LRQA’s reputation by proposing new ideas and supporting change implementation.
  • Assess risks, work safely, and report incidents, near misses, and safety observations in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree with experience in manufacturing, power, downstream, or upstream Energy sectors.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in lead generation, sales/marketing, and client-facing roles with a proven track record of securing contracts.
  • Experience identifying client and business opportunities.
  • Excellent phone and cold-calling skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including a basic understanding of financial and non-financial information.
  • Understanding of sales and marketing principles, including CRM principles; experience with Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development and improving sales skills.
  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Internet, PowerPoint, databases, and email software) and agility in adapting to technology.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated with a "go-getter" attitude and the ability to work in a highly technical environment.
  • Ability to assimilate market intelligence and detailed client or market information to support sales decisions.
  • Good team player with skills to work effectively in a global environment with colleagues of different cultures.
