Inside Sales Engineer
About the role
As an Inside Sales Engineer, your mission is to support the growth of our Spare Parts and Oils business across North America. This role is responsible for proactively engaging existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities for replacement parts, preventative maintenance kits, lubricants, consumables, and other aftermarket products that support the reliability and performance of Edwards vacuum equipment. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales hunter who leverages CRM tools, Power BI dashboards, installed base data, purchasing history, and customer insights to generate demand, increase quotation activity, recover lost business, and drive revenue growth. Working closely with Sales Engineers, Customer Care, and Service Operations teams, this individual will uncover opportunities within existing and inactive accounts while building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
Sales Development & Customer Engagement
- Conduct proactive outbound sales activities to existing customers, inactive accounts, lost customers, and installed-base accounts.
- Generate and follow up on quotations for spare parts, oils, maintenance kits, consumable products, and related aftermarket solutions.
- Identify opportunities to increase spare parts and lubricant sales through proactive account engagement and consultative selling.
- Promote genuine Edwards replacement parts and oils to maximize equipment performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Develop customer relationships by understanding equipment usage, maintenance practices, and operational requirements.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and identify sales opportunities within assigned territories.
- Execute call campaigns targeting quote follow-up, lost customers, aging opportunities, and installed base growth initiatives.
- Support customer retention efforts through regular account contact and proactive recommendation of replacement products.
Business Development & Analytics
- Utilize CRM tools, Power BI dashboards, purchasing history, and installed base data to identify sales opportunities and growth potential.
- Analyze customer purchasing trends and identify opportunities for increased product penetration.
- Reactivate dormant accounts and recover lost share from competitors.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, quotation, and customer engagement records within CRM systems.
- Support strategic growth initiatives focused on expanding parts and oils revenue across North America.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Regional Sales Engineers, Service Sales personnel, Customer Care, and Service Operations teams to support customer needs.
- Share customer insights and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate customer activities across business units to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Provide feedback regarding customer requirements, market trends, and competitive activity.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, aftermarket sales, or industrial sales experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify business opportunities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Pay
Base Salary Range: $62,500.00 - $66,000.00 annually. Salary is based on location average. Final salary may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, job-related skills, internal peer equity, etc.
Schedule
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Customer Center in Sanborn, New York.
