About the role
As an Inside Sales Development Representative (ISDR), you will be an essential contributor to our success. You will take ownership of the company’s efforts in an assigned geographic market segment, acting as a consultant to clients by offering a variety of solutions to improve their customer service experience and drive the sales department to a higher level of success.
Responsibilities
- Make 20-30 phone calls per day to a current customer base in your assigned territory to follow up on previous sales, set up new accounts, gather account information, and update the CRM system with new contact details.
- Make 40 prospecting phone calls per day to new potential customer accounts to introduce yourself, gather account information, schedule appointments, and generate quotes.
- Use the CRM system daily to build and maintain a schedule days or weeks in advance.
- Achieve the assigned total lead/sold quota for target customers, including competitive and non-users.
- Market all equipment and services offered by the company, creating new accounts while maintaining the existing account base.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of all sales activities and customer/competitive information through approved sales automation tools (e.g., CRM).
- Represent the company professionally by personally developing and presenting proposals to customers to aid in the sale of equipment and aftermarket services.
- Execute sales contacts based on campaign requirements, sales leads, and other sales execution needs as directed by customer marketing and the Corporate Sales Manager.
- Take personal accountability for completing all assigned training, certification, and personal development requirements, and participate in all sales training and meetings.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Material Handling Industry is preferred but not required.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Effective communication skills for dealing with internal and external customers.
- A four-year college degree with a high level of business acumen or equivalent experience.
- Ability to build and adhere to a schedule, documenting plans in the CRM system for communication, visibility, and accountability.
- Proven ability to execute the solutions sales process, develop new accounts, build relationships, and consistently achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Understanding and practice of a consultative sales approach.
Pay
$40,000–$45,000 yearly salary.
