About the role

The Inside Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Americas Sales & Marketing team while driving awareness and growth of the HX brand across the region. This position is focused on strengthening relationships with travel advisor partners, providing proactive sales support, and identifying opportunities to grow partner engagement and revenue. As a trusted resource for our preferred trade partners, the Inside Sales Coordinator will actively nurture existing relationships, qualify new partnership opportunities, and support sales initiatives through phone, email, and digital channels.

This role requires a highly motivated, results-driven sales professional with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for helping partners succeed. The ideal candidate will be skilled at building and maintaining partner relationships, delivering exceptional service, and supporting sales strategies that drive bookings, partner loyalty, and long-term business growth for HX Expeditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential leads through various channels, including cold calling, emails, and agent portal
    • Nurture leads based on business objectives and sales growth targets
    • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities in Salesforce
  • Service travel advisor questions regarding brand products, promotions, destinations, policies, and issues, with emphasis on positive and timely resolution for the advisor and company
  • Educate travel advisors and prospects on our products, destinations, and promotions, generating and increasing sales by conducting outbound calls and e-campaigns
  • Conduct sales training to educate prospects about HX destinations, products, and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers through regular communication and follow-up
  • Establish rapport and trust with customers and partners to facilitate the sales process
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Assist the HX America Sales team in supporting our Partners, which can include but is not limited to:
    • Preparation and distribution of sales reports at an agency, national account, and consortia level
    • Report on Agency and Agent registrations
    • Follow up on new partners recently registered in Salesforce/B2B Portal; tracking of our Certified Specialists training program and upkeep of B2B portal information and online travel training content
    • Monthly maintenance of partner profiles
    • Work with agent partners to deliver accurate, on-brand marketing campaigns
    • Attend national consumer/trade shows, consumer events, award nights, and educational trips as required
  • Effective communication through phone/email with inquiries from trade partners (product questions, booking management, brochure/marketing collateral requests, etc.)
  • Coordinate events such as ship visits, FAM trips, and regional product launches
  • Efficiently order and manage sales merchandise and trade brochures
  • Effectively manage escalated agent booking queries
  • Monitor and action dedicated agency support mailbox - answer day-to-day calls, emails, and communication from trade partners
  • Work with Sales Support and Customer Support Center to solve issues/concerns on advisor bookings

Requirements

  • Expedition knowledge or travel industry experience specializing in niche product and services, preferably in the cruise sector
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Business acumen (business knowledge, competitor awareness, organization strategies)
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • 5 years of relevant sales experience

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of the travel industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • Confident speaking in front of a crowd
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Valid passport and able to travel within the USA/Canada, and internationally as required

Work Environment

This is a remote position and may require some travel.

Pay

Salary for this position is hourly non-exempt range DOE $29 to $32 per hour USD plus Sales Incentive Plan.
