About the Role
The Inside Sales Consultant works in conjunction with an assigned Sales Consultant in high-volume territories to maximize sales. This role is also responsible for recruiting and engaging new brokers to place their group medical and specialty business through Warner Pacific. Additionally, the Inside Sales Consultant conducts training seminars/webinars to describe the tools, services, and opportunities available through Warner Pacific.
Responsibilities
- Work with the assigned Sales Consultant to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new medical and specialty business through agents/brokers.
- Support all broker inquiries and cover duties while the assigned Sales Consultant is out.
- Conduct broker training and assist agents with marketing activities.
- Maintain frequent and effective contact with brokers to build active selling relationships and increase sales of all product lines.
- Act as a liaison with product specialists to increase awareness of the specialty market and identify brokers with sales potential.
- Prospect new or inactive brokers to find sales opportunities.
- Make outbound and follow-up sales calls to dormant, active, and high-potential brokers.
- Handle inbound sales calls, email inquiries, and product support questions from brokers.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of market factors, carriers, plans, benefits, and guidelines in the Ohio insurance landscape, including the Affordable Care Act, level-funded, self-funding, and out-of-state (OOS) dynamics.
- Note potential workflow enhancements and communicate them to the supervisor.
- Demonstrate consistent, outstanding judgment, honesty, and integrity in all aspects of job performance.
- Record all activity in the CRM tool (Salesforce), including conversations, meetings, email communications, and quote requests.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; advanced education or degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of healthcare/medical sales experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of proven track record meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Preferred experience tracking sales activity in a CRM tool.
- Must reside in Ohio.
- Valid Ohio life/health insurance license.

- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Pay
Salary Range: $65,625–$87,500 annually, plus a bonus plan for achieving specific sales goals. Actual compensation may vary based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
