About the role

Responsibilities
- Increase revenue through acquiring new accounts and suggesting sales techniques.
- Foster and nurture professional relationships with customers, sales, dispatch, and management.
- Coordinate and deliver services to customers, including processing orders for deliveries and pick-ups, and handling telephone inquiries involving some mechanical or operational troubleshooting.
- Act as a virtual link between customers, sales, dispatch, and management, ensuring quality solutions and service.
- Work approximately 80% in the office and 20% out in the yard, cross-training with dispatch.
- Handle routine rental transactions, including creating rental reservations, scheduling pickups, creating rental quotes, and processing returned driver orders.
- Absorb and communicate with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders via two-way radio.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate equipment for their jobs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
- Communicate with the credit card rental file daily for proper and accurate billing.
- Review the open contract bin and credit card rentals file for items to sell and accuracy.
- Communicate leads to field sales personnel for follow-up.
- Help load, unload, and deliver equipment for customers as needed.
- Be prepared to work extended hours and/or on-call/standby rotations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years Customer Service experience.
- A minimum of 2 years Inside sales (direct customer contact) experience preferred.
- Sales ability to identify customer needs through suggestive selling or upselling, and strong relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working with a team and independently, able to handle any task.
- Technologically capable: Microsoft Suite knowledge and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), AS 400 highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, capable of maintaining a positive attitude.
- High attention to detail, able to switch tasks easily.
- Bilingual - Spanish preferred, not required.
