Inside Sales Associate - San Diego
About the Role
Master Halco Fence & Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and deck products, is seeking an Inside Sales Associate (ISA). The ISA serves customers daily in person, over the phone, and via email and text, using sales, customer service, and administrative skills to create value for both the customer and the company.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers over the phone, in person, and electronically (email/text).
- Conduct discovery conversations with existing and prospective customers to identify products and services that grow their business.
- Work as part of a sales team to achieve branch/company sales and profitability goals.
- Use the company’s computer system to process quotes and orders for customers.
- Arrange for customer pick-up or delivery and react quickly and accurately to requests.
- Collect customer payments when applicable and keep customers informed of unexpected changes.
- Support Outside Sales Associates in responding to customer needs.
- Adapt and learn to sell new products to achieve sales growth goals.
- Provide elevated customer service using “The Master Halco Way.”
- Maintain proficient product knowledge and a clean, safe work environment.
- Follow proper SOPs and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless sales process.
- Expedite resolutions and make timely decisions for customer service issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of quotes, orders, and other sales activities.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Exceptional team-building, sales, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to motivate and positively influence people.
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- High school diploma (some college desired).
- Relevant work experience preferred.
- Desired sales experience or applicable product knowledge in building materials (metals, woods, plastics, hardware), DIY retail, construction, or mechanical/electrical fields.
